Oregon’s diverse communities continue to grow, and Asians and Pacific Islanders are one of the fastest-growing in the state. Despite that growth, our communities are too often seen as an “API” monolith, associated with harmful stereotypes that dismiss and invisibilize us.
As we prepare for 2024, we want to bring our vision of a just world to life, and we want to hear from you.
What are your goals and dreams? How can we, together, continue lighting the way for our future generations?
Join us this December and let’s vision together, in community.
If you’re new to what our Political, Policy, Advocacy and Civic Engagement (PPACE) team is up to, we’d love to introduce you to our Emerging Leaders (EL) program and Voter Outreach Training and Empowerment (VOTE) Network!
Every day, our program participants and partners work to lift up, advocate for and celebrate our diverse communities. As we round out the year, we are excited to celebrate all that we have accomplished this year! We’ll also share some of our goals for the new year and look forward to implementing some of your dreams and hopes.
Join us in our end-of-year celebration on Saturday, December 16th at 4pm at the Orchards of 82nd Community Space at 8188 SE Division St, Portland, OR 97206 with our EL, VOTE partners and fellow APANO Politicos.
Help us celebrate this season by honoring our partners and community advocates and building a strong ecosystem of leaders and support for Asian, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities in Oregon.
If you have any questions or if there are any accommodations we can make, please reach out to our Civic Engagement Manager, Cayle.
